Alan, Thank you for the information on Shur-Strike. I'll tell you what I have found by collecting Shur-Strike for many years. I have a Q1 V Groove Bass Oreno style lure in Yellow Back Scale or Peanut Butter as collectors call it in a green & white box. This combo dates from 1936-8 from what I know. I have a D6 Baby Surf Oreno in Brown Back Scale which was later called Shiner Scale. This is in a correctly marked yellow box and hand stamped with a NRA symbol. This combo dates from 1933 or early 1934. I also have a RR-6 River Runt style lure in a correctly marked green & white box. This is also in Brown Back Scale or Shiner Scale like the D6 Baby Surf Oreno style above. The RR-6 dates from 1936-7 as it's designation changed to HR in 1938.
