This above rod is a 9' Montague which was "diamond" wrapped by The Angler's Company of Hartford, CT (Circa 1900).

The rod is full length and goes together smoothly. One tip has a slight set and the stripper guide is missing.

One guide has been re-wrapped and the reel rails have split, but remain fully functional. The form case is excellent.

Spruce it up and take it fishing, or just let it beautify a bare spot in your tackle room.

This 8'6" rod was determined to be a re-done Shakespeare. Whomever re-did the rod did nice work, but never got to the second tip.

If you refinish the second tip to match you'll have a very pretty rod. Ferrule fit is tight and the rod is straight.

The rod is inked "Dr. Griffiths, Wilkes-Barre, PA" (the "PA" is on the next flat) and presumably belonged to Dr. Morgan Everett Griffith (1879-1956).

Includes the original bag and tip tube.

The pair for $165, shipped.

Check preferred. PayPal okay.

Thanks for looking.

Dean.
