I've noticed increased activity of scammers on Facebook recently. If purchasing an item from a seller you have not dealt with before, using PayPal, it is safest to pay using "Goods & Services." For honest sellers, it is transparent to them if you add an extra 3% to cover their fees. This protects you from scams, in that you can recover your funds if the seller does not deliver the item or if you have to return the item because it was not what was pictured. Sellers have absolutely no risk in accepting Goods and Services payments, as long as they deliver what was promised. They can access money just as quickly. As both a buyer and a seller via PayPal, I recommend Goods and Services for all "first deals." Sellers who have deals that seem too good to be true and have excuses for not accepting "Goods & Services" payment with their fees covered are usually scammers. I hope this helps someone avoid a scam!
