MacGowan of London drop ring pole, Eaton & Deller folding handle 4" crank marked patent 1856 on handle. A superb victorian drop ring flyrod named J MacGowan of Berkeley Square, London. Japanned ash with 2 greenheart spliced to bamboo tips. Some golden finish remains to butt cap and fittings including the three brass ferrule stoppers. Black enamelled ferrules with tie loops. All rings present. A great example of a high quality London maker rod est. circa 1870.
With a similar period unnamed canvas bag of correct size. Sections in the bag measure about 4 foot 3" , enjoy! Dave dmb1@hotmail.com
