We are
once again having a room trading/Swap Meet-Show-Sell-Trade-Lie Swapping meet
for all interested Southwestern tackle collectors or anyone else that wants
to make the trip! This year, we’ve moved the Meet up to February to hopefully
avoid conflicts with family events and other Meets. We have also moved the Meet
to Thursday through Saturday so that the Show/Sale will be on Saturday morning
instead of Sunday, which should help to increase attendance by the public. The
meet will again be held at the Holiday Inn Express at 1661 Villa Cardiff Dr.
in Cardiff, CA, just north of San Diego on I-5, to start on the afternoon of
Thursday February 11 and end with a Tackle sale open to the public on Saturday
morning, the 13th. This year, the show will be held in the auditorium of the
Ada Harris Elementary school (1508 Windsor road, which is a block closer and
4 times more space than the Elks club we used last year!). Cardiff is near the
beach and there are plenty of assorted activities to interest family members
as well as a liberal supply of great restaurants.

The
Holiday Inn Express is setting aside a block of 30 rooms, with cost of
$78 per night (assuming we book all the rooms), which includes tax and
breakfast. Contact them at your earliest convenience to reserve a room.
They will hold them until two weeks prior to the show. You can contact
the hotel at 760-944-0427 and indicate that you are with the "Fishing
Tackle Show" to ensure you get the rate and hotel location. We look
